Blue ball gown:  The 1860's ballgown bodice is fully lined and boned with a 1" seam under each arm for ease of alteration. It is lined with pre-washed fabric.  The bodice is a satin on satin stripe.  The armscye has self-piped cord.  The open sleeve has the same pleating as the bottom of the skirt.

The neckline has a ribbon inserted in it to adjust the neckline and shoulder areas.  The ribbon lacing up the back is adjustable with a self-fabric modesty panel. The skirt is made from drapery weight bengaline and the center panel is the satin on satin stripe.  The skirt has a combination of inverted and box pleating.  It is attached to a 1 1/2" interfaced waistband with a 2 button closure for your "skinny" and "fat" days.  The buttons and placket give you an extra one to two inches of actual breathing room.  The skirt has a pocket in the right front seam.
